Dr. Natalia Aksamentov grew up in Houston, TX in a Russian-American household and speaks Russian fluently. She received her bachelor’s from the University of Texas at Austin and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University Of Houston College Of Optometry. While in school, she received the Clinical Excellence Award as a sophomore and grew a passion for myopia control. She has completed extended clinical training in myopia control and is certified in orthokeratology and the new FDA approved MySight myopia management soft contact lenses.
Dr. Aksamentov is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and an optometric glaucoma specialist. She is experienced in the medical management of a variety of ocular conditions including dry eye disease, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration. She is also a member of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and American Optometric Association (AOA).
Outside the office, she enjoys practicing yoga, trying new restaurants, traveling overseas, spending time with family and dancing with a Russian folk dancing group, Uzori.
